!faif Still convinced that #cc style readable licenses would be useful for !gpl education. Would cc style simplicity encourage gpl uptake?

@nickdaly gpl has to be a complex legal document. it's goal - is stand up in court, while turning copywrite around to benefit everyone.

@zykotick9 !cc licenses aren't the summaries: thats window dressing on the legal code. Maybe !gpl could use a new preamble? #ideatossing

@csolisr ...CC&FSF staff agreed on the redirect. That's not to say a summary couldn't be useful, but needs a fresh approach, IMO.

@nickdaly That's a very old version (2004). Later versions did add an English translation, but eventually they fell back to the FSF site.
